Adolfo's Corner
Periodic suggestions to help recreational players learn or reinforce their general tennis knowledge.
1) While trying to do your best on court always understand and accept that unforced errors occur at all levels. Then, permit yourself to err, avoiding the need to be always right.
2) Smile to reduce tension, focus on your breathing and think positive about the next point.
3) Soften your grip on the racquet, loosen up and be ready. Find your best way to stay calm.
4) Build up confidence knowing what you do best.
5) "Never change a winning game, always change a losing game".
Till next communication!
2011-2012 Permanent Court Time
The PCT season runs from October 3rd 2011-May 6th 2012. Please be aware that some slots are 2-hour slots. You may reference the PCT list to find your group's date and time. Please check the PCT chart for court reservations. Please note that there are two holiday weeks during the PCT season. Winter break is from December 25th-December 31st. Spring break is from March 25th-March 31st.
Indoor Tennis Courts
For the Winter/Spring 2012 season all indoor court slots are either 1.5 or 2 hours. Members must reserve within the designated blocks of court time. We do not pro-rate court time, therefore members must pay for the full 1 1/2 hours, regardless of use.
Drop in rates for court time are as follows:
$46 - 1.5 hour slot
$50 - 2 hour slot
*Please note that this price is for the court and not per person*
Punch Cards
5 Punches - $55
10 Punches - $100
20 Punches - $180
*Please note that punches CANNOT be used for 2-hour slots*
**Punch cards now have no expiration. Punches will roll over into next season!**
Punch cards are done on a per person basis. This means that if you play singles or doubles a punch will be taken from each members punch card. If the additional members do not have a punch card they will be charged for their portion of the court time. If you have a guest, you may either use a punch for your guest or they can pay for their portion of the court time. Please note that if you are playing singles and your partner is paying for their own court time (billed or otherwise), they will be charged half of the court time ($23). They will not receive the discount afforded to punch card holders.

Tennis Court Etiquette:
1. As a courtesy to those members playing, please remain in the patio area until the beginning of your playing period.
2. Young children who are not directly involved in tennis should remain in the swimming pool and recreational areas -- not on the tennis patio or around the courts.
3. The following should not be brought on the tennis courts: cigarettes, cigars, pipes, gum, food, soft drinks and alcoholic beverages.
4. Empty tennis cans and tops, trash and other litter should be placed in the proper receptacles.
5. Relinquish your court promptly at the end of your playing period. Allow time on the clay courts to take care of maintenance so your play is finished on time.
6. Do not enter, cross or go behind a court while a point is in play. Wait until there is a cross-over or a break in play.
7. If you ball enters an adjoining court while a point is in play, wait until the play has stopped before requesting the ball.
8. Do not strike the net or court surface with your racquet.
9. Do not throw your racquet.
10. Please hang Rol-Dri's on the fence when not in use to prevent them from developing flat spots.
